October 2005
This time of
year the trout action is usually good and so are the redfish. The
weather is still warm and the fish are very close to the marinas. All
baits are currently working; whether top water, tightline, under a
cork it just does not matter! So give us a call Toll-Free
1-877-689-4120 and Let's Go Fishing! Capt. EJ

October 30, 2005 - The
C.D. Diew group took a day off from the storm repair work at
their homes to do a little fishing in Lafitte. These guys
normally fish the east side of the river but due to most marinas
being shut down they agreed to give our area a try. Several
areas we tried for the first two hours produced only a few small
trout and two small reds. The water was not as clear as I would
have liked it to be so it was off on a 30 minute boat ride.
After finding bait and some clean water we managed to put a nice
mess of trout in the box, 25 or so, one red and one flounder
with that many through backs. We should have been there earlier,
but thats fishing. All in all these guys got away from the storm
cleanup and enjoyed their day on the water. Conditions, clean
water ,light winds. Bait, glow beetle under a cork and H&H
cocahoes on the botton. See you on the water, Capt. E.J.

The Kevin Cuevas group from
Hattisburg, Ms. joined me today. Kevin has fished with me
several times in the past and brought along a new group this
time. After todays catch they are ready to come back in
November. 77 trout, 3 bass, and 1 redfish. Glow beetle under a
cork was the bait of the day. Conditions: fog, light winds and
clean water. We have some KNOCKOUT SPECIALS till the end of the
year. Great fishing and prices that cannot be beat. Give us a
call to book a trip. As Always, Thanks! Capt. E.J.

The trout were still in the same
location as the past few days. We had a couple of them 18 inches
this evening. I told the "Popping Cork Queen" if she caught a
fish we will put her on the web and here she is, geaux girl!

The fishing continues to be
AWESOME in Lafitte. Lets pray that this new storm passes us
by. The past few afternoons the fish have been on, it may be
that the full moon is turning them on in the evening. 3 reds, 15
nice trout and 3 bass. Fish were hitting top water, tightline,
under a cork, using just about any color. Take advantage of our
new low price, and Let''s Go Fishing!

October 17, 2005 -
My dog Daisy joined me today as you
can see in the picture. We just targeted redfish today and after
catching a limit of five it was back to the house. A nice catch
for an hour of fishing. All fished were released, hopefully
they will be around for my trip on Friday. The Bourgeois, my
neighbors were fishing near me so I took a picture of Mr. Pete
with their big fish of the day.

Salt water, fresh water , the fish
do not care. One cast its a bass, next cast its a trout and then
its a red. On a short afternoon scouting trip I caught 10 trout,
12 bass and 3 reds. I left after 5 and was back before 7. All
fish were released to fight another day. If you have the
oppurtunity to relax a bit, come to Lafitte and take advantage
of probably the lowest price in the area! So give us a call and
book a trip. The price is good till the end of the year.

October 12, 2005 -
Donald Boudreaux an I made a short
afternoon fishing trip which turned out to be very enjoyable.
Leaving at 5pm did not give us much time for fishing but being
in the right place at the right time some times pays off. 10
reds, a dozen bass and 2 trout for a kicker. The water was
beautiful, clear and calm. We had two reds over 27 inches which
were released but we did keep a mess for a fish fry for
tomorrow. See you on the water.

October 10, 2005 -
Well things are trying to get
back to normal in the Lafitte area. This weekend the weather
on the boat was gorgeous. A crisp fall breeze made for a great
morning to do some Southeast Louisiana Redfishing!
The water was clean in the areas I tried and in just a couple
of hours I had caught a nice mess of fish. The bait of the day
was smoke and chartruese H&H minnow without a spinner on 12lb.
test line.
I see the condition of Lafitte improving daily and things are
starting to return to normal. If you are interested in booking
a trip, please call me at 1-877-689-4120 as our toll free
number is now working.
