November 1, 2012

I would like to thank the Frank Williford party for fishing with me today. One of many trips he has made with me. I decided to target trout which probably was the right move. A fine box of fish all caught on beetles and gulps under a cork.

October 27-28, 2012

Saturday it was the Crow`s once again, 20mph winds made
fishing tough but a few reds, a couple of drum and over 100lbs of catfish
were landed. Sam had the largest at 16lbs. Glow /chart cocahoes, gulps and shrimp under a cork worked well on all days.

October 26, 2012

Friday I had the Sheryl Roppolo party from Texas.  Capt. Barry had the Tom Browne party. Friday afternoon I had some of my regular clients, Kay and Jim Crow and their grandson Sam. We decided to fish Friday PM hoping to beat the front.

October 25, 2012

Today, I had Earl Sissney and his wife Linda. Its been gulps and glow  and chartreuse cocahoes under a cork. Redfish and trout on the same baits. Looks like a tough weekend ahead.

October 23-24, 2012

Tuesday and Wednesday Capt. Barry and I had the Dwight Evenson party. The group finished with about 10 Gallons of fillets for their freezers for when they return home.

October 20, 2012

Day two with The DeSoto party, 1 20lb red and two boxes of trout.

October 19, 2012

Once again we had the Mike DeSoto party. Mike has fished with us so many times I have lost count. He has also brought many new clients to fish with us and spend a few days at the lodge.

Today was a trout day and Capt. Dave and I spent most of the day fishing for them. Gulps and live shrimp under a cork were the baits of the day. Out with the same crew tomorrow for day two.

October 18, 2012

Thursday I had the pleasure of fishing with Owen and David Hale. Owen played drums with one of the greatest southern rock bands of all time, The Lynyrd Skynyrd Band. He also played on albums by Janie Fricke, Tammy Wynette, Jerry Reed, George Strait, George Jones, Toby Keith  nd Merle Haggard. He also played on the last album of Bill Haley.

The guys caught a mess of trout and two awesome redfish, a 21lb and a 26lb

October 17, 2012

Capt. Barry had David and David this morning. The team were looking for redfish and although the bite wasn't on fire, the pair managed to catch their limit and a few more.

October 16, 2012

Today, Capt. Barry Had Theresa and Chad. Here are a couple of the pics from some of the redfish that were caught and released to fight another day. The group also managed to add 15 or so trout to their final numbers.

October 15, 2012

Today, Capt. Barry and I fished the Wayne Thomann party from South
Carolina. The guys worked hard for their fish and ended the day with a fine catch. Berkley gulps under a cork was the bait of the day. All fished caught on Falcon coastal rods and Falcon Volt 2500 spinning reels.

October 9 - 14, 2012

Thanks to all our clients the past several days. The Tim Senn family, Sonja Cotter party, John Flowers party, and the Ron Nebia party. The fishing has been very good and should continue as long as the weather holds. We are catching fish on just about everything, gulps under a cork, spinner baits, tight lining and shrimp under a cork. If you don't find that your bait is working, change to something else. All fish caught on Falcon rods and Volt reels.

October 6 - 8, 2012

On Saturday I had the Kim Nichols family, Sunday, Dave and Linda
O'Brien and Tuesday, Russell Wallace and his friend Jim. Mix bags over the weekend, but today it was a trout day. 50 beautiful specks and a few reds thrown in. Gulps under a cork and tight lining bass assassin minnows in black / pearl. All fish caught on Falcon coastal rods with Volt 2500 spinning reels.

October 1, 2012

On a tough windy day Capt. Dave and I took ou the Trisha Stiegel party. He had the 4 gals and I had the 4 guys. More than 70 fish between both boats, all caught on shrimp under a cork and on the bottom. Not bad considering the conditions.  All fish today were caught using Falcon Coastal Rods and Falcon 2500 Series Volt Spinning Reels.
