March 31, 2013

Today Capt. Barry had Reid (10), Landen (12), Kyle (13), their dad Randy and mom Kelly from Virginia. They wanted to catch some fish and see a few gators after. Well after one stop the three brothers were slinging trout in the boat for 2 hours straight. We kept some to take home for a few meals then fished for a couple of reds and they each caught a keeper red. Then it was off to see the gators. Took a few pictures of some gators and a bald eagle in the tree and called it a day. It was a good Easter to see 3 young kids that really know how to fish. Thanks for fishing with us and bring the kids back.

Also today Capt. Dave had the Gerald Melchiode party who also finished with a limit of trout and a few reds.

March 30, 2013

Today I had the pleasure of fishing with Vera and Monty Thrower from LaPlace, LA. It was a quick limit of decent sized trout and a couple nice redfish. All fish caught on Berkeley swimming shads and spinner baits on Flacon Coastal Rods and Falcon Volt 2500 spinning reels.

March 27, 2013

Today I had the pleasure to fish with the O'Dea family from Cleveland. Very tough fishing conditions, but they did manage to catch a mess of fish. All released to fight another day.

March 24, 2013

Day two with Larry , Bob and Chuck. Chuck was the redfish slayer today. Not a bad catch considering they all fished in 25 knot winds. All fish caught on spinner baits.

March 23, 2013

Today was the first of 2 days of fishing for Larry Bob and Chuck. Windy conditions made it difficult but the guys pulled off a great catch. Good Luck tomorrow! Also today, Captain Dave had the Allen party. Similar story for the group, they worked hard in tough conditions but managed a nice mess of fish.

March 22, 2013

Today I had the pleasure of fishing with Alex Waller and his parents. Alex was in search his very first redfish. Alex fished hard today as the weather would not cooperate but in the end his hard work paid off and Alex landed his first redfish. Be sure to come back and try again soon and one day you'll be in the boat to catch the mother lode!

March 20, 2013

Today was a day full of smiling children and BIG redfish! We would like to thank the Herrington party visiting from London; Liam and his dad Kyle from Oklahoma; Terry, Ryan, Bob who had a 30lb Bull Redfish, and an afternoon trip with David Cordes and his son Billy. All boats caught plenty of fish and it was really great to see all the smiles from the kids! All of the fish were caught using Falcon Rods and Falcon Volts reels. Hopefully with the first day of Spring upon us, this is a start of an AWESOME fishing season! Book your trip today and plan to stay awhile in our first class waterfront accommodations.

March 19, 2013

Today, Capt Mike and his party enjoyed a great day of fishing on a beautiful weather day in Southeast Louisiana. They finished the day  with a nice mess of redfish which they caught in the clear shallow water ponds using spinner baits on Falcon Rods and Falcon Volt Reels. The weather is gaining some consistency and the fishing has been very much improved because of it. Call or email us today to get in on the action.

March 18, 2013

Some great fishing action out of Lafitte today. Captain Barry and Captain Mike had a box of redfish and trout, My crew of  Robert and Seth had a limit of trout and a few reds. The trout were biting on just about anything this morning, tight line or under a cork. Thanks to the Fox and Aschinger parties for fishing with us. Out again tomorrow with 3 boats.

March 11-17, 2013

I would like to thank all our clients that fished with us this past week. The Burton party, Hickman party, Reeves party, Hinojosa party, Howard

Wu bachelor party, McCrea party, Burns party and Herrington party. We have been mostly fishing for trout but did have some reds mixed in.

Scented gulps under a cork and tight lining swim baits have been working well. Shrimp on the bottom and under a cork have been working on the reds .

Falcon rods and volt reels with power pro have been putting the fish in the boat. We have several boats out the next two days.

March 10, 2013

Today I had the John Wright party visiting us from Canada. Fishing has been slow the past few weeks but we are still catching a mix bag of redfish, speckled trout, drum and bass. Most of the fish are being caught on shrimp under a cork or with Berkley Gulps.

March 7, 2013

Today we had a big trip with the National Gypsum group. The guys had 8 gallon bags of fillets to cook up at Jan's. The weather was cold, windy and the water was muddy. We are all hoping for the conditions to improve in the next week or so. I think everyone in Southeast Louisiana has had enough of the cold weather and what seems like never ending fronts moving through our area.

March 3, 2013

Tough conditions continue to dominate our fishing conditions. We really need some consistent weather patterns. Today we had a group of customers who battled the conditions and as you can see, they finished with a grab bag of fish. Redfish, Speckled Trout, Catfish, Flounder we all in the mix today.
