Fishing forecast for April  Spring is here , and so are the fish. With warmer weather and water, the specks will soon begin there spawning which should heat up the fishing. Redfish are still constant catches when the wind isn't howling. The Reds are starting to come out of the duck ponds as the tides in the bays are getting higher. The next  6 months should begin fabulous fishing with the approach of Summer, spawning, and the shrimp season. Our calendar is filling up fast, book your trip now!

Fishing Reports

March 27, 2004

Pam Dychtwald & Cherie Orillion from Metairie with just a few of the redsthey caught today. Guys these girls can fish. Looking forward to fishingwith them again. See you on the water.

March 26, 2004

Windy day on the water today. Derrick Nelson & Tyrone Brashear from Cardinal Health with a few nice reds from today's catch. Only 2 keeper trout from the dozen or so we managed to catch. Capt. E.J. see you on the water.

March 22, 2004

A little on the windy side today, tried to avoid the rough and dirty bays and fish a few canals. My young group today did quite well given the conditions, caught a few reds and a couple drum.

March 21, 2004

Some huge reds caught by Jay Wolter and Jeff Caron of New Hampshire. This one and a dozen more were released to fight another day. Capt. EJ

March 19, 2004

Mr. M. Hampton Carver and friends with some nice redfish. What a great day to be on the water.

March 18, 2004

This morning's trip was pretty successful. Ended the morning trip with 20 specks. The evening trip didn't fair as well only boating 6 trout. Back at it again tomorrow. Forecast has no wind, early overcast skies, tomorrow the fish should be biting.

March 17, 2004

Fishing was a little tough today. Ran to the same area that I have been fishing for several days and found the fish few and far between. Clean water, caught a few nice redfish, and managed to see a BALD EAGLE resting at the top of a tree on the shoreline we were fishing. Then made a little run to see if we could get it on a little bass action, while those fish are still on their spawning beds. No Luck there as it was getting high noon, on a blue bird day. Gorgeous weather today!

March 16, 2004

Today the fishing was a little better than the last couple of days. Warmer weather and the higher tide had the redfish hungry today. Fished the same area as yesterday with much better results. Ended the day with 3 limits of redfish and released the rest.

March 15, 2004

Had the pleasure of fishing with Dr. Reichman  and his son again today. Left this morning with overcast skies. Went and searched for clean water today. After about a 25 minute ride we found good water but the bite was slow. Managed about 15 reds. Kept these two for dinner and release the rest.

March 14, 2004

Fished today with Dr. Reichman and his son from New Jersey. It was a tough day of fishing to say the least. Low tide from the passing front had dirtied the water making conditions tough. Ended the day with a mixed bag of Reds, Drum and Sheepheads. Got the Dr. again tomorrow, hope tomorrow is better.

March 10, 2004

Another successful day, brought 2 limits of reds back to the dock and released another 20 to fight another day.
