Fishing forecast for March -  After a decent February, March is shaping up great. Warmer weather is definetly the key this month. Once that wind switches to the south and gets the tide higher, the water will get clean, and the grass will begin getting thicker. Redfish should be the hot ticket this month. There should also be some Trout, Drum, Sheepshead, and Bass around this month as well. . Still got some dates open this month, and throughtout the summer. Reserve you dates now so you can get in on some exciting fishing action. 1-877-689-4120. Capt. EJ

March 28, 2005 - My last day with the guys from Kansas. Dave, Tim, Steve, and Ron will be heading home tomorrow with three tough days of fishing behind them. We just did not get any cooperation from the weather or the fish, but once again I enjoyed the pleasure of their company. Thanks again guys. Here are a few pictures of the fish we caught today, a real mix bag.  Capt. E.J.

March 27, 2005 - Stephen Russell with the fish of the day, a beautiful 10 pounder. Tim is
still atop of the leader board with that 20 lb plus from yesterday.  Dave and Ronald trying their best to catch up.Only fished about 4 hours  today due to gail force winds. Back out with the same guys tomorrow.

March 26, 2005 -  The picture says it all. Dave, Steve, Ron and Tim who caught the money fish of the year, a 40 inch red.

March 25, 2005 -  Robert Highland and his two sons Robert and Truett with a nice mess of trout. All fish were caught on glow beetles under a cork. Capt EJ

March 24, 2005 - My clients Cory and Laura Burkett from New Mexico and I left Victoria Inn dock at 6:30 am with hopes of catching redfish like we caught yesterday. Things just did not work out, so it was off to find some trout ending the day with a dozen and a half and one redfish. All fish were released to fight another day.

Capt. Bobby and his clients Alan Bowen and his wife who are here on their honeymoon had a great day catching over 25 trout and one bass. They were off to Jan`s to cook some up for lunch. Capt. E.J.

March 23, 2005 -   My clients Charlie, Pete and Tom traveled over 50 miles to find this mess of redfish and a few trout. It was Pete`s  birthday trip, happy birthday Pete. All fish were caught on spinner baits .Capt. E.J.

March 22, 2005 - I respect my clients right not ot have their names or pictures in my reports, as was the case today. It was a very nice day for fishing but not for catching, a couple hands full of trout and one bass which were released to fight another day. Capt. E.J.

March 21, 2005 - Stan and Donald who were staying at the Victoria Inn joined me today. A mess of trout for lunch and one redfish over 8lbs that we released was the catch of the day. Still looking for better days .Capt. E.J

March 20, 2005 - After waiting for almost two hours for the rain to quit my clients Mike Bohannon , Tom Blackburn and their two boys headed out in 25mph winds. The only place we could fish was a few protected canals and even that was tough. These guys fished hard for the dozen trout they caught. Hopefully better days are ahead. Capt. E.J.

March 19, 2005 - Ken Cumbus group of dads and the kids on their Lafitte outing. The fishing was tough but after searching area after area we ended the day with over 40 trout for their fish fry tonight. Capt E.J.

March 18, 2005 - Patrick, Peter and Anthony joined me today for some Lafitte trout action. Although the action was rather slow we did manage to catch a mess of trout and a few bass. All fish were caught on a glow beetle under a cork.

Evening Trip - Gary, Elvis and Dennis from Tennesee decided to give the red fish a try. After 45 minutes of fishing the wind ended that idea, but we did land a couple of 8 pounders. We ended the day fishing for trout catching only 8. Spinner baits and pearl/char. plastics were the bait of the day. Capt. E.J.

March 16, 2005 - Three guys here for a convention joined me today. Only the fish wanted to take a picture today. This mess was cooked up for lunch at Jans. Once again we were giving away doggie bags. Capt. E.J.

March 13, 2005 - My client Brent Garrels and I fished an afternoon trip. 25 mph winds prevented us from fishing any open water. Fishing in protected dead end canals produced 5 bass and 3 nice redfish. All fish were caught using Spinner Baits. Capt. E.J.

March 12, 2005 - Steve and Kristy Moench, Charles Bowman and Paige Schafer and I left the dock around 7am. Knowing that the Redfish Tour guys were in the ponds and lakes I stayed mostly in the canals and fished for trout. With 20 mph winds blowing it proved to be the right choice. We kept 8 for dinner and released 10 or 12 more. A dozen or more fish has been a fairly good day the past few weeks. Will keep you posted as I will be fishing the next several days. Capt.E.J.

March 8, 2005 - Gavin Kirk and his group from Canada joined us today. With the conditions as bad as they were these guys managed to catch over 45 trout and several bass. The catch was cooked up for lunch at Jans Seafood Restaraunt. Everyone left with a full belly and several doggie bags. Capt. E.J.

March 7, 2005 -  My clients today Todd and DeAnne Aussem and Ron Gersin who had also fished with me on Saturday gave the red fish a try this morning. The first two hours put no fish in the boat and by 10:30 we had only two trout. Thankfully with a little luck after running 30 miles we found a dead end canal and put 20 more in the boat. This has been some of the toughest fishing I have seen in a long time .

March 6, 2005 - Fishing seemed to pick up over the weekend. My group for today of Karl Cleppe, Mark Koenke and Sam Hoffmann arrived at the dock at 7am and down south we headed. Today was the better day of the weekend catching over 35 trout with several going over 17 inches, also  2 bass. All fish were caught on a glow beetle under a cork and all released to fight another day. Capt. E.J.

March 5, 2005 - Capt. Bob had Alan and Michele Haus catching most of their fish tightlining with curly tail grubs. My group of DeAnne and Todd Aussem and Ron Gersin caught all of our fish under a cork with a glow beetle. Both groups enjoyed their catch for lunch at Jans

March 1, 2005 - Another very tough day on the water. Capt. Joe had Tim Shaltis and Barbara Melton and I had Dick and Karen Bourcier. They are here for a bowling tournament in Baton Rouge. I hope they have better luck in the tournament then we had fishing. A total of 9 keeper fish between both boats. Where have all the fish gone. Capt. E.J.

February 28, 2005 - My clients today Fred and Una Miller and I left the dock at 7am with a strong north western blowing. Our first two areas turned up a zero but our third spot produce most of the fish for the day. Several nice reds, 2 drum, a flounder, over a dozen trout and a mess of bay snapper. Hopefully things get better!
