July 27, 2005 -
My guest today the McCann`s , Leroy, Dolores and their
daughter Sue from Ohio left the Victoria Inn Dock at 5:45. The
first couple of areas we fished had no bait and no fish. On our
third stop we found fish hitting on live shrimp, even had a
shrimp jump in the boat, that was a first. The fish of the day
was a huge flounder caught by Dolores which will be dinner
tonight at the Inn. We were chased in by a severe thunderstorm
with a mix bag of fish, reds. drum, bass and that awesome
flounder. Over 40 fish were boated today much better than the
past few trips.
|
July 23, 2005 - My guest Jun
Davis and his dad Stanley joined me today. With the temps
approaching 100 degrees, they managed to catch a nice mess of
reds and several black drum.We call it an early day and headed
back to the dock around 11.

July 21, 2005 Evening Bass fishing
- Joe and I with a couple of nice bass we caught thursday
afternoon.Caught most fish on plastic worms, grape in color,
swimming it through the grass.
|
July 20, 2005 -My guest
David McBee with one of the nice reds he caught today. He also
had several break offs and many throw backs.
|
July 19, 2005 - After a
great Saturday its been downhill ever since. Covered over 80
miles today, plenty of bait, good water but no bitting fish.
Fished plastic, live bait and dead shrimp with not much
success. Thanks to Mrs. Teddi, at least
her and Bill have dinner for tomorrow night. Only a handful of
fish today, mostly small trout.
|
July 17, 2005 - Today I
thought I would return to where we fished yesterday and see if
we could end up with the same results. But today was not
yesterday. We must have fished dozen areas to only catch 3
keeper reds, and 1 trout. It was one of those days when nothing
would work. The Greg Richard group fished their tails off
without much results. Today the smallest man caught the largest
fish.
|
July 16, 2005 - Today I did
a charter for my good friend Capt. Joe. My group consisted of
grandma., mom and daughter. 13 reds, 4 bass and 2 flounder. Not
bad for a bunch of girls.
|
July 13, 2005 - Due to most
of this weeks trips being canceled it was time to try a little
bass fishing. I wanted to see if the storms did any damage in
the fresh water game management areas. Everything looks fine and
from the fish I caught this morning, nothing has changed. Did
not have the big ones I had last time, but there is a good crop
of small fish. All fish were caught on 6in curly tail worms,
dark worms early and bright colors as the sun got higher in the
sky. Black grape, grape, motor oil, purple/white tail and
strawberry which produced most of the fish. Gotta love the Green
Trout!
|
July 12, 2005 - Today I had
the Browns from Kentucky. They were the only ones from this week
that did not cancel. Not to my surprise most of the places we
fished had dirty water but after many stops we managed to catch
enough for dinner. A mix bag of reds, a couple bass, a flounder,
a few small trout and a couple that got away.

July 9, 2005
- Today's
trip was cancelled due to Hurricane Dennis. We now have some
openings later this week. Please call to book your trip.

July 8, 2005 -
The Richard Feazell family fishing trip turned out to be
better than I would have expected. Water conditions have not
improved much but we did manage to find a couple of spots that
were fishable. 33 keeper trout and 3 reds with at least that
many throwbacks. Almost all of the fish were caught on a glow
beetle under a cork. Hopefully this next storm will stay away
and we can get back to normal.
|
July 7, 2005 - After
Tropical Storm Cindy shut us down the past few days it was on
the water once again. I really had no clue as to what the
conditions would be until we arrived out there and as I figured
it was dirty water just about everywhere. After trying five or
six spots my guest and I hit an area that was holding some
trout. Fishing at anchor we managed to catch 22 keepers, lots of
throwbacks and two nice reds. Here is the Krutak family fishing
trip pictures. Kurt, Isaiah and Paul with the big fish of the
day.
|
July 5-6, 2005 - All trips
cancelled because of Tropical Storm Cindy. |
July 3, 2005 -
My guest for Sunday Gary and Amber did not have very much
fishing time, unfortunately Amber got sick and we had to come in
early. Actually I was back at the house at 9am. The trout were
on but as yesterday lots of small ones, only 9 keepers in the
short time we fished.
Evening
- My son and I tried some
afternoon bass fishing and what a kick that turned out to be.
After running from several thunderstorms we did not start
fishing until 6:30 pm. It was a bass on every fourth cast. I
know we caught over 50 in a little over an hour. Check out these
2 1/2 and 3 1/2 pounders released
to fight another day. What a trip!!!!!
|
July 2, 2005 - The Jerry
Henderson group with Robbie, Evan and Mark left the dock at 5:45
in search of whatever. Our first stop produced several nice reds
but it was hunt and peck for the rest of the morning. A lot of
11 inch trout, should have plenty of nice fish this fall. Here
is the guys with some of Saturday`s
catch.
|
July 1, 2005 -
Today was dodge the thunderstorm day. The only place is was not
raining was where we were fishing. My clients Kirk Gracy, Kim
and Rick Burford from Colorado left the dock at 6 am. Not many
keeper trout today but several nice reds and a few flounder made
for a nice catch.
|
June 30, 2005 - Every once a
a while I have the pleasure of fishing with some very good
fisherman , as was the case today. My trip today for the
Victoria Inn with the Stevenson`s was as easy as it gets. They
boated 50 or so trout but only 17 keepers, 6 nice reds and 1
flounder. The weather chased us in early but still a nice catch
for the time we had. I beleive they enjoy fishing as much as I
do. Good fishing and good fisherman , you can`t ask for
anything more. Thanks for a great day.
|
June 29, 2005 - Every year I
donate one fishing trip to the Swollfest fishing rodeo which
benefits the American Diabetes Association. Jamison Bagwell won
this years trip and he brought along three of his friends. With
very litle tide movement we managed to put 30 fish in the box
with that many throw backs. Here is a picture of the trophy
redfish that was caught today or maybe it was the bait was the
trophy.
